Welcome to Michigan's American Legion Wilwin at Cygnet Cove!
A premiere veteran's sanctuary for rehabilitation, reconnect, recovery and renewal
The Michigan American Legion Wilwin at Cygnet Cove is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Legion, Department of Michigan and operates independently from the American Legion by the Board of Directors. Wilwin at Cygnet Cove serves all veterans, from all wars, regardless of affiliation, especially those who have PTSD, TBI, or are handicapped.
The board of directors of the corporation consists of 8 board members, all members with a voice and one vote. Board members consist of 5 members of the Michigan American Legion, 1 member of the Michigan American Legion Auxiliary, 1 member of the Michigan Sons of the American Legion, and 1 member from Legion Riders. Only members of the Michigan American Legion can hold elected offices.
The board meets on a regular basis throughout the year to track progress on fund raising and promotions, new construction and remodeling of existing buildings, and any other issues that need to be addressed at the time. The annual meeting of the board of directors is held during the Michigan American Legion’s State Convention each year; the last week end of June.
Anyone wishing to make a donation of money to aid our veterans, please (click here); or to donate a specific item on our “wish list.” To volunteer your time or offer professional assistance at the facility, please contact any of the board members.
